Cover Design Services
Why does professional book cover design matter so much?
A book cover is your single most effective marketing asset: online shoppers decide in seconds whether to click, and browsers in a bookstore decide in seconds whether to pick it up. Professional cover design matches your genre's visual expectations while adding one detail nobody else has — which is exactly why Bradbury Publishers designs every cover from research and multiple concepts, never from templates.
Readers give a book three seconds. In that time your cover has to signal genre, tone and quality — the same shorthand the big New York houses use, executed with your book's personality. We start with your genre's current bestsellers, map the visual language readers already trust, and then design within it with one deliberate twist that makes your spine yours.
You'll see three different concepts — not a single take-it-or-leave-it option — each with a written rationale. You choose the direction, we refine it through two revision rounds, and you receive every file you'll ever need: CMYK print wrap with the spine calculated to your final page count, eBook cover, audiobook rendition, and flat marketing crops for social media and ads.

Designers who read the genre

Concepts, not ultimatums
Three directions up front. You never gamble on a single designer's first instinct.

We shrink every concept to Amazon thumbnail size before delivery, because that's where most buyers first meet your book.
Print + digital in one quote
Wrap, eBook, audio and marketing crops come as one package — no per-file nickel-and-diming.
Frequently asked questions about book cover design
How much does professional book cover design cost?
A full custom package — three concepts, print wrap, eBook and audio renditions — is quoted flat based on artwork complexity. Typography-led covers cost less than fully illustrated ones. Request a free cover design quote and you'll have a fixed number, not an estimate range, within one business day.
Do I get the source files?
Yes. On final delivery you receive the layered working files along with every export: CMYK print wrap with bleed, RGB eBook cover, audiobook rendition and flattened marketing crops. The files are yours forever — if you ever switch designers, you leave with everything.
How many revisions do I get?
Two full revision rounds on your chosen concept are included, which covers the vast majority of projects. If you need more, additional rounds are a small fixed fee agreed in advance — never a surprise on the invoice.
Will my cover work at Amazon thumbnail size?
That's the test we design for. Every concept is reviewed at thumbnail, mobile and full size before you see it, because most US book buyers first encounter a cover as a two-centimeter image on a phone screen.
Can you design a whole series to match?
Yes — and we recommend it. We build a series system (layout, typography, color logic) when designing book one, so every future volume drops onto the shelf looking like it belongs. Series authors get priority scheduling for sequels.
Do you use stock art or custom illustration?
Both, honestly chosen. Some genres reward licensed photography; others need a commissioned illustrator. If licensing is used, we hand you the license and the paperwork. If it's custom illustration, the artwork is created exclusively for your book.
